Project 365: Week 10

This was a fun week to remember through photos. I'm slowly but surely catching up, and that alone gives me motivation to keep at this fun little project.

{3.6.11} Long Island, New York
Our trip there was nothing short of
a million amazing moments.
(I still need to finish my post about this!)

{3.7.11) Flying home.
She was so ready.
(JFK is an evil not my favorite airport.)

 {3.8.11} Hugging her sweet baby.

{3.9.11} Loving her fantastic headband from

{3.10.11} There is a frog in my kitchen!

{3.11.11} Standing by herself at the park
while on a picnic with Poppa

{3.12.11} Having fun playing dress up
in the Target dollar section

I have an extremely thrilling announcement to share this week and I cannot wait to go into details! I'm teaming up with my dear friend Shelby to bring you all a fun and happy happy project! :)

One of my goals this week is to stop being so hard on myself, but push myself to be better in the areas where I can be.

Love this quote...

"Begin somewhere; you cannot build a reputation on what you intend to do". ~ Liz Smith

Project 365: Week 9

It is a rainy overcast day here, but we are swimming in raspberries, blueberry pancakes, the new, magical Alison Krauss album Paper Airplane and coloring pictures for Glamma and Poppa. (Okay, I did all the coloring.) But coloring is good for the soul.

Yes, still playing catch up with Project 365!

{2.27.11} Bunny piggy at Target.

{2.28.11} Queen Zebra. ;)

{3.1.11} Inspiring spring Utah sunset.

{3.2.11} Yellow smile.

{3.3.11} Crazy hair, silly girl in tub.

{3.4.11} Rhinestone cowgirl boots!
Love them!
Thanks Momma!

{3.5.11} Hanging out with cousin Ronna

I can't believe another week has gone by! Happy Monday!

Project 365: Week 8

I've considered abandoning this whole notion of Project 365 for a few reasons; I have let myself get so far behind it is a little silly, the majority of the photos end up being taken on my iPhone 3 because I just seem to reach for it out of habit and therefore the quality is not what I would prefer. But the fact that keeps me coming back for more and trying to catch up is that these are pieces of our days, of my precious time with this girl, and I want to remember every bit of it. Even the blurry and out of focus parts.

{2.20.11} S playing with my slipper.
A lazy Sunday at the house.

{2.21.11} The wink.

{2.22.11} Love that hair
& the flower pants.

{2.23.11} Cannot get over how cute these pajamas are!

{2.24.11} Dinner one night.
To illustrate how drastically different we are.
Sushi is mine.
McDonalds is his.

{2.25.11} Just me.

{2.26.11} She was obsessed with these shoes.
Okay, honestly so was I.
But, alas...they didn't have them in my size.

Our weekend was full of being a family. I love it when the moments flash and I'm inspired simply by being there. A witness to the fragile nature of just existing together. Tomorrow is my first appointment with a physical therapist in an attempt to untangle this web of undiagnosed and unexplained hip pain I've been experiencing for nearly a year now. I don't want to pin all my hopes on this eventually working, and providing me some much needed and overdue relief, but I have nothing else. It is a last resort. It is a little more than maddening to be in pain and have no one able to tell you why, or what to do to alleviate it.

Cross your fingers for me please? Thanks friends.

On Twitter tonight, @MomItForward asked, "What three things do you want to accomplish this week?" My response:
1) figure out hip pain with my physical therapy appt
2) dance & swing with my girl
3) start writing my book :)

I think I can manage those three.
Here's to a magnificent week with all sorts of little things to be thankful for sprinkled all over it.

Project 365: Week 7

Playing catch up with Project 365 still. It is an undeniable kind of special to be able to look back on my days and realize how much joy there is to be found in the little things.

{2.13.11} Stella & Dot necklace I gave to myself for Valentine's Day
(Yes, Rory gave me a super great little desk. I was selfish.
In my defense I ordered this before I knew about said desk.)

{2.14.11} Our super romantic Starbucks Valentine's adventure.
That is Rory's coffee and my root beer.
That M&M blondie thing was not good.
I spilled 75% of that bottle of root beer in my favorite purse.
I became distracted at Forever 21 and didn't realize the cap had come off in said purse.
It is a good thing I know the girl who makes said favorite purse.

{2.15.11} I heart the way toys look at the bottom of a tub.
And you can tell by the remnants of this bath,
that it was quite the party tub time indeed.

{2.16.11} Sometimes living in Utah isn't so bad.

{2.17.11} Party dress.
Have I mentioned I love this girl?
Like over the moon, head over heels, I'm in trouble
kind of love.

{2.18.11} My idea of a stellar, kick arse Friday night.
Chocolates, a Diet Coke from McDonalds
(I don't eat their food, but their Diet Coke is marvelous.)
and making a belated Valentine's card for my love.
(No excuse for a card that late,
HOWEVER
I bought him the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition
so I'm the best ever, right?)
All while indulging in trashy t.v.
(Days of Our Lives)

{2.19.11} My ga-ga-ga-gorgeous new headband from
I've been trying to come up with excuses
to wear it every single day.

I'm ready to make some changes this week.
All good ones.
Up and up!

Project 365: Week 6

I'm still playing catch up with Project 365. I try to take photos of other things besides Miss S, but let's face it; she's a huge part of my life! And she's so cute I can't stand it.

{2.6.11} Ready for the Superbowl in her green and yellow.

{2.7.11} Her favorite time of day.

{2.8.11} Fun in the snow.

{2.10.11} 12 month check up
R is such a supportive Daddy, he has been to every single one of her appointments.
He was at every one of my appointments during the pregnancy.
I'm a very lucky lady!

{2.11.11} Miss S's dinner; black beans, corn and pasta

{2.12.11} Shirt I made for Miss S as a part of her Valentine's gifts.
Super easy, but should I do a tutorial?

It has been a stressful and highly emotional day. I learned I'm much better at being a patient than being on the other side. I worry too much.

Hope you are having a really good week.

Project 365: Week 4

I fell behind on this, but I still cherish the concept and am sticking to it. Here is our week 4 in 2011.

{1.23.11} Squash for my sweet girl.

{1.24.11} Annoyed with the car seat.

{1.25.11} Happy Birthday to Aunt Liz!

{1.26.11} These barrettes look so precious in her hair, I just want to eat her!

 {1.28.11} Me

{1.29.11} Love this quote! I almost bought this.
